Modular plant engineering is an important trend in the process industry that significantly shortens the time-to-market (TTM) and can lead to a more flexible result. The process sequence (described in the process description) is separated from the actual hardware (described in the step chain description) and the interface between the process control system and the module is standardized.

At this year’s ACHEMA, Pruess GmbH will be presenting a solution preparation tank with a modular design and engineered with MTP.
One concrete example is an autonomous batching system that will be presented at ACHEMA. This system offers services via MTP (Module Type Package). The advantages are clear demarcation of functions, simple transfer for scaling and the possibility of efficient project implementation. Soft factors such as stakeholder involvement and early quality assurance also play a decisive role. Overall, modular plant engineering enables maintainable control software and accelerates the implementation of projects.
Our Exhibit: Self Sufficient Solution Preparation System
We present an innovative, self-sufficient system with MTP for the production of granulation liquids, coloring solutions and sterile preparations. The system has its own control system and validateble recipe management software, which enables both automated and semi-automated preparations.
The system offers a GMP-compliant magnetic agitator, an electropolished, dead space-free design and a working volume of 33 to 180 liters with local or central operation. Optional features such as heating and cooling jacket, pressure vessel design and ATEX design are available.

MTP
Modular plant engineering has a significant impact on time-to-market (TTM). By separating the process sequence from the actual hardware by encapsulating valves, pumps and other components in services, the implementation of process control systems (PCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLC) can take place in parallel.

Live Data in the P&ID
Pruess works with the latest technologies. For example, the R&I Tool of X-Visual Technologies enables live data to be displayed directly from the control system in the P&ID. This opens up a wide range of possibilities, from fault analysis and recording of specific historical data to recording of component information such as serial numbers or configuration data for direct documentation in the P&ID.
This technology is demonstrated on our exhibit. The exhibited System can be controlled via the POL and all current changes can be tracked in real time in the P&ID.
