An important process step in the production of certain products is evaporation, which often follows an extraction step. During evaporation, the product is usually concentrated and unwanted organic solvents or water are evaporated – similar to when sauces are boiled with wine and reduced.
Based on the evaporation method employed, it’s possible to attain concentrations with up to 60 percent dry matter. The scale of the operation dictates whether single-stage or multi-stage systems are utilized. Typically, the systems can process volumes ranging from 0.5 to several cubic meters per hour
